Pool House Retreat
Designed as a private retreat for guests, the pool house was conceived as a space that feels both connected to the main home and distinct in its atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the main house’s Neo-Deco style, we incorporated refined elements such as octagon-and-dot stone flooring and marble detailing throughout the vanity, creating a subtle sense of continuity.
To soften the more refined aesthetic and bring a relaxed, tactile quality to the space, handmade Zellige tiles were introduced, adding organic texture, tonal variation and a sense of craftsmanship.
The kitchen was designed around a servery-style connection between the indoors and outdoors, allowing natural light to flow into the space while creating a practical serving point for guests enjoying the pool. This not only strengthens the connection to the outdoors but also makes entertaining effortless, providing easy access to snacks and drinks without bringing wet feet through the main living areas.
The result is a considered pool house that balances the elegance of the main residence with the relaxed, grounded feeling of a holiday retreat.
